Review: Flying Fish Belgian Style Dubbel

An Abbey Dubbel brewed by
Flying Fish Brewing Company

Cherry Hill, New Jersey USA

ABV: 7.3%

Glassware: Trappist Glass

Beer pours from the bottle a ruby color with a small head that sticks around for a bit. It has a malty, sweet aroma and it tastes just about the same. A little clove and banana are in there as well. It is good, if a little light in body and maybe a bit too sweet. Mouth feel is just about right, enough to keep the flavors present after the finish. I enjoyed this and as I said earlier, the guys at the brewery are good peeps.

Beer Advocate food pairing suggestions: Cheese (buttery; Brie, Gouda, Havarti, Swiss, pungent; Gorgonzola, Limburger) General (Chocolate) Meat (Beef)

My ratebeer.com score: 3.5
